Job summary

Taylor's University is seeking an ICT Development Assistant Team Lead to guide a developer group in building and enhancing the university's applications and business automation. You will analyze business requirements, design solutions, code, test, and document systems while providing advanced support.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on development in Oracle Forms/Reports and PL/SQL, plus experience across SDLC and multiple databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering / development and 2 years leading/supervising developers.
• Must have at least 5 years hands on experience with Oracle Forms & Reports (11g/12c), and PL/SQL.
• Strong analytical skills and programming skills across platforms and tools.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC and software engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a group of developers on system development and business automation.
• Analyse, design, develop, test and document technical software applications.
• Provide second/third level helpdesk support for in-house applications.
• Meet Service Level commitments for system solution development and support.
• Estimate work content and manage project timelines.
• Apply UI/UX best practices for system development.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all systems and data models.
• Mentor and develop subordinates to strengthen the team.
