Job summary

Worldwide Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced software architect to lead current and future in-house architecture across applications. You will advise on technology choices, develop modules and database relations, and collaborate with analysts, QA, and other units to streamline projects.

The role emphasizes best practices, system integration testing, and thorough technical documentation, with involvement in upgrades, cloud tool adoption, and user training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in Software Engineering, IT, CS, Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest or basic awareness in cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Experience in HTML5/CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, and building mobile responsive/adaptive applications.
• Significant experience writing and utilizing RESTful API services and performance tuning applications.
• Infrastructure knowledge including Single Sign-On, LDAP and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of engineering practices such as refactoring, design patterns, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with software methodologies (waterfall/agile).
• Strong communication skills with ability to align organizations and build consensus across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration testing (SIT) to ensure smooth modules interaction.
• Ensure technical specification documentation is in place.
• Participate in small IT projects such as system upgrades, cloud tools adoption, or user training.
• Utilize AI tools to improve development efficiency, including code assistance, testing support, and documentation generation.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree, specialized in Software Engineering, Information Technologies, Computer Science, Engineering, or any equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Interest or basic awareness in cybersecurity will be an advantage.
• Experience in HTML5/CSS, CSS frameworks: Bootstrap, Tailwind and building mobile responsive/adaptive applications.
