Job summary

IAQ Group seeks a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer with strong experience in commercial and industrial HVAC and piping design to lead design and calculations across project stages.

The ideal candidate will assist in tender planning, budgeting, prepare technical reports and proposals, and coordinate with disciplines to ensure timely delivery. You will support on-site EHS, supervise work packages, review contractor submissions, and contribute to project closure with thorough handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/HVAC/Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years working experience in the HVAC design/construction industry.
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to operate AutoCAD software, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• The position may require candidate to be seconded to project sites.
• Open to travel locally and overseas and willing to be stationed at site when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and calculations across stages.
• Assist in tender planning, scheduling and budgeting.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and proposals.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on design and other deliveries.
• Review and approve technical submissions from contractors.
• Provide on-site EHS supervision and safety oversight.
• Initiate design and scope changes and technical submissions to client.
• Lead commissioning testing for respective discipline and support quality control.
