Job summary

Vantage seeks a 275kV Resident Engineer in Malaysia to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems in our data centers. You will manage HV/LV infrastructure, perform switching, and support preventive and corrective maintenance around the clock.

The role requires 3–5 years in high-voltage facilities, HT certification, and strong knowledge of safety, CMMS/BMS tools, and regulatory liaison with bodies like TNB and DOSH. Bahasa Malaysia and English fluency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 275kV HT certification recognized by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• 3–5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switching operations and safety procedures.
• Experience with CMMS, BMS and electrical monitoring tools.
• Good communication in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance scheduling, work orders, and operational planning.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, including High Voltage (275kV, 33kV, 11kV) and Low Voltage (415V, 240V).
• Perform electrical switching activities including isolation, energization, de-energization, earthing and restoration of systems.
• Execute all switching strictly in accordance with approved SOPs, PTW, and LOTO procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and utility providers such as TNB, DOSH & Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Monitor and analyse daily power consumption.
• Provide hands-on support for operations.
• Support system restoration and corrective maintenance activities.
• Participate in MOP & EOP drills and operational readiness exercises.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
• Participate in audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies, PTW, and LOTO procedures.

Education
