Job summary

Vantage Data Centers in Malaysia is seeking a 275kV Resident Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all electrical systems within the facility. This role covers high and low voltage infrastructure, switching operations, fault response and preventive maintenance in a 24x7 data centre environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an electrical engineering degree or diploma, a 275kV HT certification, and 3–5 years of HV experience in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 275kV competent engineer certification (HT) recognized by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance scheduling, work orders, and operational planning.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems (275kV, 33kV, 11kV and LV).
• Perform electrical switching including isolation, energization, de-energization and earthing.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and utility providers (TNB, DOSH, Energy Commission).
• Monitor and analyse daily power consumption.
• Support system restoration and corrective maintenance activities.
