Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Lead Humanoid Robotics Engineer to lead end-to-end development of humanoid robotic systems from concept to deployment.

You will integrate mechanical, electrical and software components, develop locomotion and perception, and mentor a multidisciplinary team while coordinating with manufacturing and NPI for production readiness. Bachelor degree required; 5–8 years of hands-on robotics experience.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5-8 years of hands-on robotics development experience.
• Experience building and integrating physical robotic systems.
• Strong knowledge of robotic kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, feedback control and sensor integration.
• Experience with ROS/ROS 2, C++, Python or equivalent technologies.
• Practical exposure to actuators, motors, motor drivers, encoders, IMUs, cameras and other robotic sensors.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software integration issues.
• Previous experience leading technical workstreams or mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete development lifecycle of humanoid robotic systems.
• Integrate mechanical structures, actuators, sensors, embedded electronics, motion-control systems and software.
• Develop locomotion, balance, manipulation and coordinated movement.
• Support computer vision, perception, autonomous navigation and human-robot interaction.
• Build functional prototypes and support their transition into scalable, manufacturable products.
• Remain actively involved in design, programming, integration, troubleshooting and testing.
• Establish local robotics engineering capabilities and gradually build and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and NPI teams on production readiness and industrialisation.
