Job summary

Alcon in Malaysia seeks a Senior HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs across a large site. You will drive a proactive safety culture, advance ESG initiatives, and leverage digital tools to improve HSE performance among a substantial workforce.

You will oversee policy development, incident management, and risk controls, while coordinating with operations, engineering, facilities, quality and HR to sustain best-in-class HSE results.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English essential.
• Degree in safety management, environmental health, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional HSE experience and 2–5 years of managerial experience.
• 10+ years of HSE leadership in medium-to-large manufacturing environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical device/pharma preferred).
• Proven ability to implement digital HSE solutions and risk management.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and change management capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian HSE regulations, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide HSE strategy, compliance, risk management and environmental programs.
• Develop and implement HSE policies and site standards.
• Create systems/tools for site leaders to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and drive incident response procedures and risk controls.
• Champion ESG initiatives including sustainability and carbon reduction.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, facilities, quality and HR to drive performance.
• Ensure audits and agency findings are closed promptly to prevent recurrence.
