Job summary

Alcon seeks a senior HSE leader to drive site-level safety, compliance, and environmental programs in Malaysia. You will lead strategy, governance, and risk management across operations, engineering, facilities, quality, and HR.

You will champion ESG initiatives, implement digital HSE solutions, and ensure audits and regulatory findings are closed on time while fostering a proactive safety culture and alignment with Alcon values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or engineering.
• 10+ years of HSE leadership in a large manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in HSE and 2–5 years in management.
• Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ESG/sustainability requirements.
• Experience implementing digital HSE solutions, analytics, and automation.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and change management skills.
• Knowledge of Malaysian HSE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide HSE strategy, compliance, risk management, and environmental programs.
• Drive ESG initiatives including sustainability, carbon reduction, and resource efficiency.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
• Develops systems and tools for site leaders to ensure compliance with all pertinent HSE regulations.
• Partner with operations, engineering, facilities, quality, and HR to deliver world-class HSE performance.
• Ensure goals/targets are achieved within agreed-upon timelines and audit findings are closed on time.
• Prepare and submit reports to external agencies and Alcon internal data processes.
• Utilize data, analytics, and digital tools to enhance decision-making and incident prevention.
