Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Langkawi, Kedah seeks an experienced Hotel Manager to lead daily housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry operations. You will direct staff, ensure guest rooms and public areas are spotless, and maintain safety and budgetary standards.

The role requires strong leadership, a focus on guest satisfaction, and the ability to coordinate with engineering and front desk teams. A diploma or degree in Hospitality with relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational or experience requirements: High school diploma or GED with 2 years housekeeping-related experience, OR a 2-year degree in Hospitality/related field with no work experience required.
• Candidates with relevant hotel/restaurant management education are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
• Works with Engineering on guestroom maintenance needs.
• Supervises the property general cleaning schedule.
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Supervises daily housekeeping shift operations and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assists in ordering guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms.
• Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space.
• Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
• Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Participates in managing department costs to achieve budget goals.
• Understands impact of operations on financial goals and manages to meet budgeted targets.
• Reads budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the housekeeping or related professional area.

2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.
