Job summary

Accor Hotels in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee the hotel's procurement and purchasing operations. You will ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of quality goods and services while managing supplier relationships and compliance with policies and standards.

You will lead negotiations, monitor market trends, and coordinate with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager to source and evaluate contracts, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with exposure to sourcing and contract management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A team player with proactive, self-motivated, approachable and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage all purchasing requirements of the hotel ensuring policy and procedures are followed.
• Maintain food purchasing specifications and inspect incoming goods for quality and stock levels.
• Analyze market trends to anticipate price fluctuations and manage inventory.
• Source and evaluate food & beverage contracts with suppliers with Exec Chef and F&B Manager.
• Ensure internal audit points are adhered to and halal certificates updated.
• Maintain confidentiality of contracts and procedures within the organization.
• Coordinate all department operations to exceed guest experience.
