Job summary

Bitdeer is seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and operate production Kubernetes clusters optimized for large-scale GPU workloads. You will manage NVIDIA GPU operator, device plugin, and topology-aware scheduling across multi-tenant environments, with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities include building BMaaS provisioning, CRD-driven lifecycle, and IaC workflows using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Kubernetes operations
• Experience managing GPU workloads on Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of Nvidia GPU operator and device plugin
• Hands-on with multi-tenant K8S platforms and strong isolation
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning (Ironic/MAAS) and lifecycle automation
• Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux)
• Strong SRE background: SLIs/SLOs, incident management, capacity planning
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana at scale
• Go or Python for operator/CRD development
• AIOps mindset and runbook-as-code approach

Responsibilities

• Manage production Kubernetes clusters for GPU workloads (100–10,000 GPUs)
• Operate NVIDIA GPU operator and device plugin
• Implement topology-aware scheduling and NVLink-aware policies
• Create CRDs for GPU workload lifecycles
• Integrate AI frameworks (Slurm on K8S, Ray on K8S, Kubeflow)
• Enforce multi-tenant isolation (namespaces, RBAC, network policies)
• Provision Bare-Metal as a Service and lifecycle management
• Develop IaC tooling with Terraform/Helm
• Define SLIs/SLOs for availability and latency
• Handle incident management and runbooks
• Maintain monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager
• Automate GPU node failure handling and rescheduling
