Job summary

Bitdeer is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer for the SRE/Monitoring Platform team to help build the NeoCloud platform across Data Centers. You will take scoped components from design to production under a senior engineer, shipping code via GitOps and CI/CD.

You will learn GPU/AI infrastructure, contribute to collection, alerting, topology, remediation, and observability, and grow toward owning a sub-context within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of software engineering experience; new grads welcome with strong projects or internships.
• Solid fundamentals in one programming language (Go preferred; Python, Java, or Rust acceptable).
• CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, basic networking, OS concepts.
• Distributed systems basics: idempotency, retries, back-pressure, caching.
• Monitoring/observability exposure: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki familiarity recommended.
• Linux shell familiarity; basic debugging and scripting.
• Kubernetes basics; able to work with Pods, Services, Deployments.
• Git + CI basics; prior experience with CI pipelines.
• Strong communication in English; learning mindset and curiosity about GPU/AI infra.

Responsibilities

• Collection + Storage — help build collection-agent and storage components; write ingestion, query, and storage-path code.
• Alert + Correlation + SLO — contribute to alert and SLO frameworks; tune and implement default alert rules.
• Topology + Cluster-Health — work on topology services and health rollups for multi-region environments.
• Remediation + Workflow + Jobs — assist orchestration, workflow components, and job scheduling.
• Observability instrumentation — instrument services with metrics/logs/traces; build dashboards and runbooks.
• Test discipline — write unit/integration tests; participate in chaotic/soak tests under seniors.
