Job summary

Commerz Global Service Solutions is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage Oracle, MSSQL, and Sybase environments in a global context. The role emphasizes high availability, incident/change management, and ongoing performance optimization across Windows and Unix platforms.

You will collaborate with the Database Product Owner and engineers in Frankfurt, contribute to DR/BCP exercises, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting Follow-The-Sun operations.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT/DBA roles.
• Experience in IT operations; responsibility for systems and complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability and integrity of database systems.
• Monitor performance and optimize queries and configurations.
• Handle incident, change, and project tasks within SLA expectations.
• Plan and execute database installations, upgrades, and patches.
• Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery exercises.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with global teams and support Follow-The-Sun model.
• Document procedures and maintain security-related documentation.
