Job summary

Tec D, a TD SYNNEX Company, is seeking an experienced GL professional to manage general ledger, intercompany processes, and month-end close in a hybrid work environment. You will ensure accuracy of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting across the company.

The role requires at least 5 years in general ledger accounting, strong knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP, and excellent English communication. SAP ERP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Proficient in SAP ERP and intercompany processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and perform journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
• Close month and year-end with accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and leasing activities.
• Execute intercompany billing and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Collaborate with AP/AR to ensure bank clearing and reconciliations.

Job Purpose

Maintains general ledger, fixed asset, intercompany, cash management and financial records within the general accounting functions. Validate, process, prepare and post accounting journal entries. Perform balance sheet reconciliation and proactively follows up on aged items. Ensures procedures and internal controls are followed to maintain the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting policies and principles. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned. Hybrid work arrangement: 3-day per week in office

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Timely and accurate completion of general accounting activities and reporting including processing journal entries, preparation and calculation of accruals, prepayments, adjustments.

Fixed asset capitalization, depreciation run and leasing.

Perform all intercompany billing on timely manner

Closely monitor and reconcile intercompany balances with counterparty. Follow up and resolve material mismatch.

Work closely with AP and AR team to ensure all bank clearing items are posted and matched. Complete bank reconciliation during month ends close.

Perform period and year end closing operations on a timely and accurate basis.

Proper analysis and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliation in compliant with group accounting and reconciliation policy.

Prepare group reporting packages during month end and ensure proper analysis and documentation for internal and external reporting purposes.

Actively propose and participate in process improvement and automation initiatives with cross-functions, with guidance from team lead/manager.

• Attend to general accounting related queries/requests from controllers and other stakeholders on timely manner, including but not limited to internal and external audit.

Review GL Analyst work and provide guidance to resolve their queries.

Collaborate closely with controllers to ensure completeness and accuracy in monthly reporting

Ensure adherence to internal controls and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries and reasonableness of balance sheet positions.

Support, follow-up and escalation of identified issues

Understand, monitor and take proper action regarding KPIs.

Other additional task as assigned by the manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Possess at least a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Strong foundation in accounting concept. Technical knowledge and application of accounting standards [IFRS/USGAAP] will be an asset.

Possess continuous improvement and growth mindset. Able to think from a structure perspective and propose a solution where necessary.

Prior experience in MNC and/or SSC environment is preferred

Prior experience in SAP ERP system is preferred

At least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting/Record-to-Report team

Good command of written and spoken English language

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
