Job summary

OCBC is seeking a talented Software Engineer (Full Stack / Back End) to design, build, test, and maintain scalable web and mobile applications. The role emphasizes microservices, RESTful APIs, and secure coding practices, with collaboration across product, customer experience, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has strong Java 17+ expertise, Spring Boot, and experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or software engineering.
• 3–5+ years of full‑stack or back‑end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain back‑end services, microservices, and APIs.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver secure software.
• Design RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and secure them with OAuth 2.0/JWT.
• Develop event‑driven services using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Implement unit, API, integration, and regression tests.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment configurations.
• Deploy applications on Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters.
