Job summary

ams OSRAM in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a seasoned engineer to sustain and optimize front-end test and inspection processes for Wafer Probing and AVI, leveraging advanced metrology and defect analysis.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing, strong problem solving and communication skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will collaborate across PI, FPD, and NPI teams to ensure stable, compliant production and successful ramp milestones.

Qualifications

Degree / Master in Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronic / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
Min 7 years experience in manufacturing environment
Min 3 years experience in probing process engineering
Skilled in problem solving, MS Office, good in communication and presentation skill
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Sustain and optimize front-end test and inspection processes for wafer probing and AVI.
Lead FMEA risk assessments, develop ECAPs and Work Instructions, and apply SPC to ensure process stability.
Drive N+1 tool qualification and EPA release activities to support production ramp milestones.
Establish conformance to ISO/TS 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other standards, while leading audits.
Collaborate with PI, FPD, and NPI engineers to understand product integration, establish Line of Defense (LoD), and ensure process stability within defined process windows.
