Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join a growing technology team and help shape modern, high-performance web applications.

You will collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer, frontend developers, product managers and UI/UX designers to build interactive, scalable, SEO-friendly apps using React, Next.js and TypeScript. You’ll influence frontend architecture, improve engineering practices, and explore new technologies to improve product quality and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, frontend focused
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience with SSR, SSG and ISR
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and frontend practices
• Understanding of SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility and security
• Experience with secure auth flows (JWT, OAuth)
• Ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs
• Experience mentoring developers and code reviews
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Develop applications with focus on performance, SEO, accessibility and Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate with Product, UI/UX and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and make informed technical decisions.
• Establish and improve frontend monitoring, observability and automated testing.
• Review code and mentor other developers on engineering best practices.
• Identify and manage technical debt while proposing architectural improvements.
• Evaluate emerging frontend frameworks, tools and industry trends.
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively while ensuring production-grade code.
