Job summary

THUNDER SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced FPGA Platform Engineer to design, verify and bring up FPGA solutions on server platforms. You will collaborate with BIOS, BMC, and platform teams to implement FPGA features and drive the bring-up process.

The role requires 8+ years in FPGA design and bring-up, strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, and hands-on lab equipment experience. Proficiency in scripting and Git is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years FPGA design and bring-up experience.
• Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
• Strong RTL design experience for FPGA/ASIC.
• Proficient in FPGA synthesis, timing closure, simulation and hardware bring-up.
• Familiar with scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash, C, Makefile).
• Understanding of SPI, I2C, AXI, QSPI, USB, etc.
• Experience with lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Experience with Git and source control.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and verification of FPGA solution on servers.
• Collaborate and hands-on debug with server teams (BIOS, BMC, Platform).
• Review platform schematics & BMC code to implement FPGA features for platform bring-up.
• Lead bring-up of FPGA solution and collaborate on debug.
