Job summary

THUNDER SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced FPGA Platform Engineer to design, verify and bring up FPGA solutions on server platforms. You will collaborate with BIOS, BMC, and platform teams to implement FPGA features and drive the bring-up process.

The role requires 8+ years in FPGA design and bring-up, strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, and hands-on lab equipment experience. Proficiency in scripting and Git is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 8+ years FPGA design and bring-up experience.
• Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
• Strong RTL design experience for FPGA/ASIC.
• Proficient in FPGA synthesis, timing closure, simulation and hardware bring-up.
• Familiar with scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash, C, Makefile).
• Understanding of SPI, I2C, AXI, QSPI, USB, etc.
• Experience with lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Experience with Git and source control.

Job description

A FPGA Platform Engineer working on innovative platforms for debug and validation solutions. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team designing and bringing up FPGA Solutions on Servers.

Key responsibilities

Design, implementation, and verification of FPGA solution on Servers

Collaboration and hands-on debug with other Server Teams (BIOS, BMC, Platform, etc.)

Review platform schematics & BMC code base to implement FPGA features for Server Platform bring up

Lead the bring up of FPGA solution and work collaboratively with the team on debug

About you

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics / Computer Science related

8+ years of experience in FPGA Design + Bring up Experience

Proficiency with Verilog and/or System Verilog

Strong RTL Design experience for FPGA or ASIC

Proficient Experience with FPGA Synthesis, Timing Closure, Simulation and HW Bring up

Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Python, TCL, Bash, C, Makefile, etc.)

Understanding of one or more protocols: SPI, I2C, AXI, QSPI, USB, etc.

Experience with lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)

Experience with source control systems (Git)

Strong verbal and written English communication skills
