Job summary

Celestica in Malaysia (Penang) seeks an experienced technical lead to drive design, development and deployment of complex systems across multiple domains. You will guide a team of engineers, interpret customer requirements, and coordinate site-wide programs while staying current with industry practices and regulations.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in similar roles, with expertise in system design, schematics, BOMs, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas.
• Review, interpret and may negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provide customer feedback
• Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Proactively promote industry best practices
• May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
• Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Solve complex problems
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors and other internal teams.
• Analyze and interpret data and information
• Recommend modifications for systems
• Create reports and documentation
