Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Penang seeks a Staff Engineer, Electrical Design to lead the design, development and deployment of technical solutions for complex projects.

You will provide technical leadership to a sizable team of engineers and coordinate with customers and vendors to meet specifications and schedules. The role requires 7–10 years of related experience and a Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects across multiple domains.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers.
• Review customer requirements/specifications and act as primary customer contact.
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and develop deployment strategies and plans.
• Lead deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Design, modify and implement systems including schematics, bills of materials and drawings.
• Testing, simulation and measurement of system performance and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Create reports, minutes and updates.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.

Education

Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
