Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Penang seeks an expert FPGA/CPLD engineer to lead the design of FPGA/CPLD for test and measurement instruments. You will work on microprocessor/microcontroller-based subsystems, DSP blocks, high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, I2S, JESD204B, and multi-clock domain PLLs.

You will collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and software teams to optimize performance and cost, develop test solutions, and guide hardware design throughout the product life cycle.

Qualifications

• Ph.D/Master/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• Good understanding and experience in whole product development cycle.
• Good working experiences in performing hardware and software system integration tasks.
• Strong knowledge and experiences in fundamental analog and mixed signal circuit design and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge in signal analysis and implementing efficient DSP block in FPGA.
• Good experience in using EDA design tools such as LTspice, Hyperlynx, MATLAB, Xilinx ISE/Vivado, Altera Quartus for circuit simulation and synthesis.
• Good working knowledge in programming languages such as, Agilent VEE, C, C++, C#.
• Demonstrate the ability as a good team player, working independently, self-motivated with consistent drive to improve hardware design and design processes.
• Experience in leading a design team to complete several projects.
• Good organizational, planning and communication skills.
• Good command in written and spoken English skill.
• Experience in hardware circuit design.
• Minimum 7 years of FPGA design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA/CPLD design for Keysight test and measurement instrument.
• Define and develop instrument system architecture with System Architect or design lead.
• Occasionally involve in hardware circuit design depending on project.
• Develop test solutions and characterize hardware prototype.
• Ensure hardware design meets performance, cost, and schedule targets.
• Lead design team in hardware/FPGA and software integration projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies during early Product Life Cycle.
• Provide engineering support to customer service and manufacturing teams.
• Promote good design practices and reusable blocks.
