Job summary

Michael Page International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset to manage daily and month-end asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation postings, and investment order settlements.

You will ensure accurate postings, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and timely month-end close; resolve complex asset accounting issues; drive process improvements; support audits and system enhancements while complying with IFRS/GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in fixed asset management or accounting processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and month-end asset accounting activities, including capitalization and depreciation postings.
• Ensure accurate postings, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and timely month-end close.
• Resolve complex asset accounting issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor recurring issues, drive process improvements, and escalate risks when required.
• Assist with system testing, user training, and process documentation updates.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Perform asset account and sub-ledger reconciliations and validate asset master data.
• Support month-end reporting, audit readiness, and internal/external audit requests.
• Act as SME for asset accounting matters and provide guidance to team members.

Description

• Manage daily and month-end asset accounting activities, including investment order settlements, capitalization, and depreciation postings.
• Ensure accurate financial postings, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and timely month-end close.
• Resolve complex asset accounting issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor recurring issues, drive process improvements, and escalates risks when required.
• Support process standardization, continuous improvement, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with system testing, user training, change management, and process documentation updates.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Perform asset account and sub-ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and validate asset master data.
• Support month-end reporting, audit readiness, and internal/external audit requests.
• Act as the subject matter expert for asset accounting matters and provide guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to resolve issues and communicate process updates effectively.

Profile
