Job summary

Steelcase Manufacturing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead regional General Ledger and close activities. You will partner with APAC stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting while driving process improvements and SAP enhancements.

The role offers a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to develop deep expertise in GL accounting, inventory and currency transactions across multiple countries and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of Accounting or General Ledger experience.
• Experience owning month-end close activities.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Regional finance experience supporting multiple countries or business units.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing month-end and quarter-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Analyzing financial results, account balances, and reporting data to maintain the integrity of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts.
• Preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting analyses to support business and statutory reporting requirements.
• Monitoring accounting activities related to inventory, fixed assets, foreign currency transactions, and other key financial processes.
• Collaborating with controllers, auditors, business partners, and finance teams across APAC to resolve issues and support operational objectives.
• Driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and SAP system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Supporting regional and global finance projects while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

You’ll Support Meaningful Work By:

• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Regional finance experience supporting multiple countries or business units.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Experience in a Shared Services, multinational, or regional finance environment.
• SAP experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience.
• Strong process improvement and automation mindset.
• Ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Mandarin language capability is an advantage.
