Job summary

Arrow Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Penang, Malaysia to act as a trusted advisor to regional management and sales teams.

The role involves delivering monthly P&L analyses, detailed variance and trend insights, and comprehensive reporting on financial statements, KPIs, headcount and costs. You will participate in annual planning, build financial models for profitability, ROI and pricing, and contribute to finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a 4-year degree.
• Proficient in English and able to communicate effectively (written and spoken).
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills with MS Excel mastery.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and GAAP.
• Experience in a global or large multi-national company preferred.
• HFM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted business and financial advisor to regional management and sales teams.
• Deliver detailed P&L analysis monthly to finance and regional leadership, including variance and trend analysis.
• Provide comprehensive reporting on financial statements, metrics, headcount and costs.
• Participate in annual planning and budgeting processes to support executive decision making.
• Create financial models to support data-driven decisions on profitability, ROI, pricing and terms.
• Participate in finance initiatives and projects.
• Work cross-functionally with teams locally and globally to complete assignments.
• Contribute ideas to continually improve processes and drive efficiency.
• Have a strong understanding of the business environment.
• Assist with internal and SOX audits reviewing controls.
• Support analysis and reporting on performance of multiple related units.
• Solve complex problems and recommend solutions with minimal guidance.
• Provide analytical and strategic input to management.
