AG Staffing Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager/Asst Manager for our Property Development/Construction projects in Temerloh and Kuantan (Pahang). The role oversees monthly management accounts, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance, while leading a finance team across holding and subsidiary entities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, professional accounting qualifications, and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive working experience in accounting, with proven managerial experience.
• Professional qualification or membership in a recognized accounting body (e.g., MIA, ACCA, MICPA, CPA) is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee timely, accurate preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Act as the primary liaison and take full accountability for year-end audit and statutory reporting compliance.
• Lead the formulation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Deliver high-level financial analysis, variance insights and data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve robust internal control policies, accounting systems, and standardized reporting formats to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely submission of all corporate and indirect tax returns to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), optimizing tax efficiencies while ensuring strict compliance with local tax laws.
• Identify potential financial and operational risks, develop robust contingency plans, and spearhead ad-hoc corporate assignments or special projects as directed by Management.
• Lead, and develop the finance and accounting team including providing strategic guidance to the team—fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Leading accounts team to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions for Holding and Subsidiaries.
• Prepare various management reports periodically and ad-hoc basis—financial report, project account, cash flow.
• Tax planning and compliance.
• Handle matters regarding corporate structure, corporate finance and corporate governance.
• Liaise with company secretary, external auditors, tax agent and regulatory bodies.
• Review contracts and liaise with lawyers
• Arrange bank facilities when needed and liaise with bankers
• Communications with Board of Directors and other stakeholders.

Formation

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Professional accounting body membership (MIA/ACCA/MICPA/CPA)
