Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Finance Manager cum Financial Accountant to lead the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows, for actuals, budgets, and forecasts.

The role ensures accuracy and timeliness of statutory and internal reports, coordinates with tax agents and auditors, and supports senior management with insights for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification.
• MIA membership or equivalent (ACCA, MICPA).
• At least 5 years in a similar role.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience with banking products and ERP systems.
• Prior experience in consumer goods industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows, covering actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing financial statements and related reports.
• Review tax forms and documents, coordinate with tax agents to address issues, and ensure compliance with all tax deadlines.
• Prepare and review reports to meet corporate and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely submission.
• Collaborate with various business functions to prepare and review budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial and business data to provide insights and actionable plans to support senior management in achieving business objectives.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate records for each category of fixed assets.
• Prepare and review audited financial statements, ensuring timely completion for submission to SSM.
• Enforce company policies and procedures in business transactions.
• Review and document policies, procedures, and relevant documentation annually, with a focus on continuous improvement for efficiency.
• Complete any ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the company.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, lawyers, company secretaries, and bankers.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including corporate office functions like group reporting and internal audit.
