Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior finance professional in Selangor to lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of senior experience in finance or accounting, preferably in construction or property sectors.

Experience with SAP, SST, and related tax regulations is advantageous. The candidate should mentor juniors, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
• Experience in the construction or property industry is highly preferred; candidates from other fast-paced or large-scale industries may be considered.
• Familiarity with SAP is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SST, withholding tax, e-Invoicing, and other statutory requirements is an advantage.
• Prior experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and key financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including cash position monitoring, payment planning, banking, and working capital.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while providing financial insights to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, banks, and other external stakeholders on financial, tax, and compliance matters.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and strong financial governance.
