Job summary

GAMER2GAMER Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) seeks a Senior Finance Executive – Group Reporting & Analysis to support month-end closings, group consolidation, and financial analysis. You will collaborate with auditors and tax agents, ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, and prepare management decks for leadership.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin. The position offers a structured career path in a dynamic gaming industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) are an added advantage.
• Min 3 years of relevant working experience, with 1–2 years external audit preferred.
• Exposure to multi-company consolidation and intercompany transactions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in full-set closing for month-end and year-end.
• Review journal entries and schedules prepared by others for accuracy.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements for group entities and intercompany reconciliations.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and prepare management decks.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries for audits and tax filings.

Job description

Senior Finance Executive – Group Reporting & Analysis

Assist the Assistant Finance Manager in full-set account closing (month-end and year-end).

Review and verify transactional work, journal entries, and preliminary schedules prepared by the Finance Executive to ensure accuracy.

Maintain accurate reporting schedules and ensure timely submissions of all financial reports.

Ensure all financial records comply with local accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).

Group Consolidation & Intercompany Transactions

Assist in preparing and consolidating financial statements for multiple entities across the group.

Process and manage intercompany billings, transactions, and monthly reconciliations.

Assist in identifying and resolving intercompany discrepancies.

Financial Analysis & Support

Perform detailed variance analysis on group accounts to uncover trends and provide actionable insights.

Assist in preparing clear, concise financial reports and management decks.

Provide ongoing support to the Assistant Finance Manager for ad-hoc financial projects, budgeting, and forecasting.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to ensure smooth execution of statutory audits and tax filings.

Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for annual audits and tax submissions.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. (Pursuing professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an added advantage).
• Experience: Min 3 years of relevant working experience. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of external audit experience is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Exposure to multi-company consolidation and intercompany transactions is a strong advantage.
• Languages: Proficient in English/Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, tax agents) and guide junior team members.
  • Willing to learn, highly adaptable, and possesses a strong team spirit.
