Job summary

Eco Asia Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to lead the internal finance function across the Group’s companies. You will manage end-to-end accounting, bank transactions, and cash flow while supporting BPO client engagements.

You will collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and bankers, ensuring timely financial statements and budgeting support. The role is based at our Taman Desa office and requires strong English and accounting proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, MIA, or equivalent) is required or strongly considered for part-qualified candidates.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Good command of spoken and written English; proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, or other languages is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts for the Group's companies across service lines, including invoicing and day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing, including bank reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and staff claims.
• Prepare and process bank transactions and monitor cash flow and balances.
• Handle tax and statutory matters (withholding tax, SST, corporate tax, filings).
• Maintain accounting records and fixed asset register.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and assist budgeting and management reporting.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers on audit and tax matters.
• Support BPO client engagements, including bookkeeping and management reporting.

Senior Finance Executive

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will run the day-to-day internal finance and accounting function across the Group's companies, with the opportunity to support our BPO clients. This is a hands-on role with visibility across the full accounting cycle within an established professional services group.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts for the Group's companies across its various service lines, including invoicing, receipting, and day-to-day bookkeeping
• Perform month-end and year-end closing, including bank reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments, staff claims, and collections follow-up
• Prepare and process bank transactions and online banking for approval, and monitor cash flow and bank balances
• Handle tax and statutory matters, including withholding tax, SST, corporate tax, and other statutory payments and filings for the relevant entities
• Maintain proper accounting records and the fixed asset register
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, and assist with budgeting, forecasts, and management reporting
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers on audit, tax, statutory, and banking matters
• Support BPO client engagements, including bookkeeping and management reporting, as required

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, MIA, or equivalent); strong part-qualified candidates will be considered
