Job summary

STARWISE is seeking a Senior Finance Executive (Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping) to own bookkeeping and financial reporting for multiple entities. You will work with external auditors, tax agents, and bankers, ensuring accurate month-end close and compliant financial statements.

You should have 2–4 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and a good grasp of MFRS/MPERS. Based at Kuching, you will engage with senior stakeholders and help drive process improvements across the finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Near completion of ACCA/MIA/CPA/ICAEW or equivalent; part-qualified welcomed.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Full-set bookkeeping and month-end close ownership across assigned entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Review reconciliations (bank, intercompany, GL-to-subledger) and resolve complex items.
• Coordinate audit fieldwork with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and advisors.
• Prepare transfer pricing documentation and intercompany schedules.
• Review supporting workpapers prepared by junior staff for audit and management review.
• Assist with tax computations, ESG reporting and other ad-hoc compliance work.
• Drive efficient use of QuickBooks and other accounting systems across the group.
