Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, as well as budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and investigate variances between actual results and budgets or forecasts, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reserves to maintain adequate liquidity, optimise working capital, and support business operations and expansion.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies. Coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with auditors, and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Coordinate and prepare tax-related submissions, including tax returns, tax estimates, and transfer pricing documentation. Liaise with tax agents and relevant authorities to ensure timely compliance with tax regulations and support tax planning initiatives.

Requirements:

• Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance or any equivalent
• Required skill(s) : Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, statutory reporting, financial reporting procedures, and Malaysian corporate income tax regulations. Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Key quality(s) : Strong analytical, problem-solving and good communication skills. Detail-oriented, analytical, organised, proactive, and able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Required language(s) : English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit. Experience in financial statement preparation, management reporting, financial analysis, month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliation, and audit schedules. Exposure to project profit and loss monitoring, budget preparation and management for assigned entities.
