Fugro Shared Services Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Finance Associate - GL (Japanese Speaker) to manage end-to-end general ledger activities, month-end close, and financial reporting for APAC entities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance, and support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses. Fluency in English and Japanese is required for effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant RTR experience.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis.
• Fluent in English and Japanese for effective communication.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate GL entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Close monthly and annual financial statements with compliance.
• Identify trends and potential issues in financial data.
• Collaborate with AP/AR/Cash teams and support budgeting and ad-hoc analysis.

Senior Finance Associate - GL (Japanese Speaker)

The position RTR is responsible for managing end to end RTR activities including period end close activities, fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliation, financial and management reporting, local statutory and tax support for APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with business controllers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing General Ledger (GL) entries at the month/year end closing activities.
• Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensure that all the accounts are reconciled accurately.
• Prepare and close monthly and annually financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identify trends, patterns, and potential issues in the financial data.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support and complete the financial tasks assigned.
• Proactively work with the team lead/manager to identify, propose, and implement continuous process improvement and automation initiatives within the RTR function to increase efficiency.
• Maintain and update the internal controls framework, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP/AR/Cash Management team to support business requirements.
• Assist in forecast and budgeting.
• Assist in ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance with min 5 years of relevant working experience
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP and well versed in MS Excel
• Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese are required to effectively communicate and support Japanese entities and stakeholders.
