Job summary

Landmark Holding Sdn Bhd is seeking an autonomous Senior Finance & Account Executive to establish and optimize our financial infrastructure from the ground up in Malaysia. You will own full-spectrum accounting and implement robust internal controls, working closely with the General Manager.

You will manage cross-border transactions, multi-currency invoicing, and inventory valuation methods while delivering accurate monthly reports and cash flow projections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership).
• 3 to 5 years hands-on accounting experience.
• Preference for FMCG/wholesale distribution/retail trading environments.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and local accounting software suites.
• Experience with international trade, multi-currency invoicing, and inventory valuation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, set up, and maintain the company’s accounting infrastructure (Xero, AutoCount, SQL).
• Oversee AP, AR, GL, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Develop landed cost models and allocate freight, insurance, duties, and trucking costs to track margins.
• Prepare bi-monthly SST returns and ensure payroll deductions compliance.
• Generate monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and P&L, with variance analysis and cash flow projections.
• Establish credit control for FMCG distribution networks and monitor aging reports.

Job description

We are seeking an autonomous, meticulous, and commercially sharp Senior Finance & Account Executive to establish, lead, and optimize our financial infrastructure from the ground up. In this critical role, you will own the full spectrum of accounting for our premium beverage import operation. Working directly alongside the General Manager, you will implement robust internal controls, manage cross-border transaction compliance, and execute precise SKU-level product costing to protect and optimize our distribution margins in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

Full Spectrum Financial Management: Architect, set up, and maintain the company's accounting infrastructure (e.g., Xero, AutoCount, SQL). Oversee daily execution of AP, AR, GL, and monthly bank reconciliations.

Advanced Landed Costing & Margin Control: Develop and manage complex landed cost models for multi-SKU product shipments. Accurately allocate ocean/air freight, marine insurance, customs clearance fees, and inland trucking to track true gross margins.

Malaysian Tax & Statutory Compliance: Manage end-to-end preparation, reconciliation, and timely submission of bi-monthly Sales and Services Tax (SST) returns. Ensure strict adherence to Royal Malaysian Customs regulations and oversee monthly statutory payroll deductions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).

Corporate Reporting & Cash Flow Forecasting: Generate monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and P&L statements. Provide the General Manager with actionable budget variance analysis and rolling cash flow projections.

Credit Control & Debt Management: Establish a strict credit control framework for our FMCG Modern Trade and HoReCa distribution networks. Actively monitor customer aging reports and drive collection strategies to minimize bad debt exposure.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership).

3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.

Absolute preference for individuals from FMCG, wholesale distribution, retail, or fast-paced product trading/import environments.

High proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex margin formulas) and local accounting software suites.

Strong operational familiarity with international trade mechanisms, multi-currency invoice reconciliation, and inventory valuation methods (FIFO/Weighted Average).

A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a lean startup environment.
