Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Field Engineer - Beachpull (PMT) to support safe, controlled delivery of complex energy projects from a Kuala Lumpur base, interfacing across office, fabrication, marine and field teams.

The role requires 8+ years of offshore/construction experience, strong English, and proven leadership in complex interfaces, with travel to yards, ports, vessels and offshore locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, civil, structural, marine or a relevant discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership of complex interfaces or work scopes.
• Experience in offshore energy, EPC/EPCIC, transportation and installation, fabrication or marine construction environments.
• Strong written and spoken English; ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for offshore and/or onshore construction, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning activities.
• Translate approved engineering into executable work packs, methods, checks and field instructions.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between engineering, marine spreads, construction teams, subcontractors, survey and quality functions.
• Resolve field queries promptly, control technical changes and maintain accurate as-built and completion records.
• Support or lead engineering for shore-approach and beach-pull activities, including pull-in readiness, equipment interfaces, temporary works and execution sequencing.
• Coordinate PMT, marine, civil, survey and pipeline interfaces through installation and reinstatement.
• Participate in planning, coordination and progress meetings and provide concise status, risk and action updates.
• Apply document control, change management and approval requirements and maintain records suitable for audit and handover.
• Work in accordance with applicable HSE, quality, ethics and compliance requirements, escalating concerns promptly.

Role Purpose

The Senior Field Engineer - Beachpull (PMT) will support the safe, controlled and efficient delivery of complex energy engineering and construction activities from a Kuala Lumpur base, working across multidisciplinary office, fabrication, marine and field interfaces as required. The role is accountable for reliable execution within its discipline, timely coordination with stakeholders, and maintenance of clear, auditable records.

Additional Requirements

• Based in Kuala Lumpur with flexibility to travel to yards, ports, vessels, offshore locations or supplier premises when the assignment requires.
• Able to work to project deadlines and, where operationally necessary, support extended hours, mobilisation windows or offshore rotations.
• Any offshore medical, safety training, professional certification or competency requirement will depend on the final work scope and mobilisation location.
