Job summary

Bursa Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Senior Executive, Support & Delivery Engineer (IT Operations) to join our IT Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. You will monitor, maintain, and optimise critical IT infrastructure, lead incident resolution, and mentor junior staff to ensure reliable service delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS and 5–7 years' experience in IT operations, with strong Windows/Linux knowledge and ITIL familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or similar technical support role.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure including servers, storage, and network components.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security across all critical platforms.
• Design, implement, and optimise IT operations processes and procedures to enhance service delivery and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical leadership and support to junior IT operations staff, including mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Manage incident response and resolution, escalating complex technical issues appropriately and ensuring timely remediation.
• Oversee system patches, updates, and maintenance activities whilst minimising business disruption.
• Document and maintain detailed records of IT infrastructure configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams including network administration, database management, and security to ensure integrated solutions.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans relevant to IT operations.
• Participate in IT governance activities and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

About the role Bursa Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Senior Executive, Support & Delivery Engineer (IT Operations) to join our IT Operations team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and delivery of our critical IT infrastructure and systems. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our business operations by managing IT delivery frameworks, overseeing system performance, and leading the resolution of complex technical issues. This position is fundamental to maintaining the reliability and efficiency of Bursa Malaysia's technology environment, which is essential to our role as Malaysia's leading exchange operator.

What you'll be doing

What we’re looking for

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar technical support role

Proven experience managing IT infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and network components

Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments

Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)

Proficiency in monitoring and management tools for systems performance and alerting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements

Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or ITIL Foundation are desirable
