Sin Han & Co. PLT is seeking a Senior Executive - Liquidation, Receivership, Restructuring to join our insolvency and corporate recovery practice in Petaling Jaya.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.
• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of professional insolvency and corporate recovery experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing liquidations, receiverships, and restructuring.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian insolvency legislation (Companies Act 2016; Insolvency Act 1967).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive matters.

About the role

Sin Han & Co. PLT is seeking an experienced Senior Executive - Liquidation, Receivership, Restructuring to join our growing insolvency and corporate recovery practice. This is a full-time position based in our Petaling Jaya, Selangor office. In this role, you will take on significant responsibility for managing complex insolvency matters, including liquidations, receiverships, and restructuring assignments. You will work directly with clients, creditors, and statutory authorities, providing expert guidance throughout the insolvency process and contributing to the strategic direction of our insolvency practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in liquidation cases from initiation through completion, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and creditor obligations
• Handle receivership appointments and asset realisations, maximising returns for creditors and stakeholders
• Develop and implement restructuring strategies for distressed companies, working collaboratively with management and creditors to achieve optimal outcomes
• Prepare detailed insolvency reports, including reports for court, reports for creditors, and statutory filings with relevant authorities
• Conduct investigations into company affairs, including asset tracing and fraud detection where required
• Manage creditor meetings, communications, and distributions in accordance with insolvency legislation
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including banks, trade creditors, employees, and government agencies
• Contribute to business development activities and the growth of the insolvency practice
• Stay current with changes in insolvency law and best practices in corporate recovery

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in insolvency and corporate recovery, gained in a recognised accounting firm or insolvency practice
• Demonstrated expertise in managing liquidations, receiverships, and restructuring cases
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian insolvency legislation, including the Companies Act 2016 and the Insolvency Act 1967
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to navigate complex financial situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential matters
