Sin Han & Co. PLT is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Liquidation, Receivership, Restructuring to join our Insolvency & Corporate Recovery team in Petaling Jaya.

You will support complex insolvency matters, including liquidations and restructurings, working with senior practitioners to deliver client-focused outcomes. The role requires 3–5 years in insolvency, strong financial analysis skills, and knowledge of Malaysian laws.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) is highly desirable.
• 3–5 years’ experience in insolvency and corporate recovery with exposure to liquidations, receiverships and restructuring.

• Assist in the management and administration of liquidation cases, including asset realisation, creditor distribution and statutory compliance.
• Manage receivership engagements by conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and liaising with stakeholders.
• Contribute to corporate restructuring projects by analysing financial data and developing strategic recommendations.
• Prepare statutory reports, notices and correspondence under insolvency legislation.
• Conduct investigations into company affairs and director conduct as required.
• Manage creditor meetings and negotiations with creditors, financial institutions and legal advisors.

• Liaise with legal counsel, auditors and other professionals to support case progression.

About the role

Sin Han & Co. PLT is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Liquidation, Receivership, Restructuring to join our Insolvency & Corporate Recovery team. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this pivotal role, you will provide specialist support in managing complex insolvency cases, including liquidations, receiverships, and corporate restructuring matters. You will work closely with senior practitioners to deliver high-quality services to clients navigating challenging financial situations. This position offers significant scope to develop your expertise in insolvency and corporate recovery whilst making a meaningful impact on client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the management and administration of liquidation cases, including asset realisation, creditor distribution and statutory compliance
• Manage receivership engagements by conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and liaising with stakeholders
• Contribute to corporate restructuring projects by analysing financial data, identifying recovery opportunities and developing strategic recommendations
• Prepare statutory reports, statutory notices and correspondence required under insolvency legislation
• Conduct investigations into company affairs and director conduct where required
• Manage creditor meetings and negotiations with various stakeholders, including creditors, financial institutions and legal advisors
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in insolvency and corporate recovery, ideally including exposure to liquidations, receiverships and restructuring engagements
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian insolvency legislation, including the Insolvency Act 1967 and Companies Act 2016
• Proficiency in financial analysis, accounting principles and the preparation of statutory accounts and reports
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and liaise professionally with diverse stakeholders
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• A professional approach to handling sensitive and confidential information
• Preferred: Experience in cases involving related party transactions, director conduct investigations or cross-border insolvency matters
