FOMO Group in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive, Internal Control to join the Operational Risk team. You will govern routines, monitor risks, and assure controls across the organization.
This role requires meticulous planning, timely reporting to the Risk Management Committee, and close collaboration with departments and senior stakeholders.
You must be willing to commute to the Singapore office 3–4 days a week during probation and participate in audits and third‑party reviews.
FOMO Group is looking for a Senior Executive, Internal Control to join the Operational Risk team in Singapore. You will play a key role in the governance routines, risk monitoring, and control assurance activities that keep the organization ahead of operational and regulatory risk. This role suits someone who is meticulous and dependable in managing recurring deliverables, who brings rigor and structure to how risk is tracked and reported, and who is motivated to build a strong foundation in operational risk within a fast-growing fintech environment.
Coordinate quarterly Risk Management Committee meetings, including preparing the agenda, collating materials, and drafting minutes, ensuring the Committee has what it needs to make timely decisions.
Prepare and deliver quarterly Operational Risk status updates to the Risk Management Committee, presenting a clear view of key risks and mitigation progress.
Track and monitor FOMO Group's business risk register to identify and evaluate potential risks, supporting timely mitigation.
Maintain the policy and procedures register and coordinate periodic reviews with department PICs, ensuring documentation stays current and reflects actual practice.
Conduct periodic reviews of key business processes and control testing to assess the effectiveness of the control environment.
Perform environmental scanning of internal and external factors, raising awareness of emerging risks or opportunities.
Maintain the third-party arrangement register and conduct information security reviews of third-party vendors and business partners, assessing risk exposure prior to onboarding.
Support operational risk reviews, including system user access and physical access reviews.
Coordinate regulatory (e.g. MAS) and internal audit activities, including scheduling, liaising with auditees, and tracking action items, as the volume of internal audit assignments continues to grow.
Perform other operational risk duties as assigned, contributing to the continuous strengthening of the risk framework.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration).
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in operational risk management, internal audit, governance, or internal controls.
Working knowledge of audit workflows and internal control testing methodologies.
Familiarity with MAS regulations, notices, and guidelines is an added advantage.
A positive, proactive attitude with genuine eagerness to learn, the ability to deliver against timelines, and provide timely progress updates.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills, comfortable working across departments and with senior stakeholders.
You must be willing to commute to the Singapore Office (at Shenton Way / Tanjong Pagar) 3–4 days per week as part of role requirements till probation ends unless stated otherwise by the hiring team. (Transportation Allowance will be given when needed to commute)
