Job summary

Sunway Education Group's Financial Services Department seeks a Finance Accountant to manage the full set of accounts and provide timely financial reporting from its Subang Jaya offices.

The role includes preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and liaising with auditors, tax agents, and regulators. A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years' experience and Sage 300 proficiency are required.

Job description

The Financial Services Department at Sunway Education Group welcomes interested candidates to submit their resume for the stated position with the following job specifications:

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including full set of accounts
• Manage accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analyses for management review
• Prepare annual budget and periodic forecasts
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks and regulatory authorities
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, internal controls, and financial reporting accuracy

Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in handling full set of accounts (preferably some exposure in e-invoicing and SST submission)
• Experience handling accounts across multiple companies or subsidiaries or shared services setup is preferred
• Experience in audit engagements and proficiency in Sage 300 (formerly ACCPAC) will be an added advantage
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the organization
