PROTECTHEALTH CORPORATION SDN. BHD. in Cyberjaya is seeking a Senior Executive / Executive, Medical Analytics to turn medical, operational and financial data into insights that guide national healthcare programmes.
You will build dashboards and reports in Power BI or Excel, track KPIs, evaluate provider performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and governance.
About the role Malaysia's national healthcare programmes run on data — and this role puts you at the centre of it. As Senior Executive / Executive, Medical Analytics, you'll turn medical, operational, and financial data into the insights that drive real decisions across ProtectHealth's programmes.
You'll track utilisation trends, uncover cost drivers, and evaluate provider performance — then translate that into dashboards and reports that Management relies on for planning and governance. It's a role where your analysis doesn't sit in a folder; it shapes how healthcare delivery actually improves.
This is a 1-year contract, renewable based on project needs and performance, based in Cyberjaya.
What you'll actually do
Analyse medical, operational, and financial datasets to surface trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decisions
Identify performance gaps across programmes and flag them before they become bigger problems
Develop and monitor KPIs to track programme effectiveness, utilisation trends, and cost efficiency
Evaluate provider performance and highlight where efficiency or quality can improve
Design and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Excel, or other BI tools) that give Management real-time visibility
Build structured reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and interpret findings together
Run validation, reconciliation, and data-cleaning processes to keep datasets accurate and audit-ready
Support forecasting, cost analysis, and special projects as programme needs evolve
Document data definitions and methodologies to strengthen data governance across the organisation
What you bring
A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline
3–6 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, ideally with exposure to healthcare, government, or another regulated environment
You can point to specific examples where your analysis changed a decision, not just produced a report
Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python, or R, and comfort working with large, messy, real-world datasets
Solid grounding in data mining, statistical analysis, and data visualisation techniques — you know which method fits which question
Practical experience building in Power BI, Excel, or similar tools, not just consuming dashboards others built
Able to translate technical findings into recommendations that non-technical stakeholders can act on
Comfortable working across teams to gather requirements and align on findings
Able to take ownership of analytical projects from scope to delivery, with minimal hand-holding
