About the role
Supervise and coordinate global food trading and processing projects, covering fresh and frozen seafood, Ready-To-Eat (RTE) products, snacks, and other food categories, in collaboration with multinational corporations to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with overseas clients, suppliers, factories, and internal team members.
Manage local and overseas market sourcing activities, as well as the company's import and export operations.
Coordinate client orders, data entry, delivery orders, sales documentation, and other administrative documents related to sales and marketing activities.
Monitor stock availability and order status, ensuring timely updates on inventory balances, delivery schedules, and relevant reports to customers and management.
Assist in coordinating and monitoring factory operations, including production schedules, product development, quality requirements, and other operational matters.
Provide regular updates to management on project progress, sourcing activities, factory operations, and other relevant business matters.
Support sales and marketing activities, including product sourcing, customer proposals, product development, and other business development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in food trading, sourcing, sales, or a similar capacity.
Experience and knowledge in international sourcing, import and export procedures, and supply chain management will be an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Language: English, Mandarin & Malay
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, factories, and colleagues at different levels.
Well-organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.
A proactive team player with a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
