Job summary

Bright Prospect in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager to drive growth for our Food Ingredients portfolio, with a focus on beverage applications across Southeast Asia. You will develop new opportunities, manage key accounts, and expand market presence in Industrial, OEM or HORECA segments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3+ years in Food Ingredients or beverage ingredients sales, strong communication and negotiation skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in Food Ingredients or beverage ingredients
• Exposure to Industrial, OEM or HORECA channels
• Regional SEA market experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the Food Ingredients business in Southeast Asia.
• Identify and secure new opportunities with beverage manufacturers, processors, distributors.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized ingredient solutions.
• Attend trade shows and industry events regionally.

International Business Development Manager – Food Ingredients-Johor

Salary: RM10,000 – RM13,000 (Negotiable based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive business growth for our food ingredients portfolio, focusing on beverage applications across Southeast Asia. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and expanding market presence within the Industrial , OEM or HORECA segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the Food Ingredients business across Southeast Asia.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with beverage manufacturers, food processors, distributors, OEM or HORECA customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and product presentations to negotiations and closing deals.
• Collaborate with internal technical and product development teams to deliver customized ingredient solutions.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and growth opportunities.
• Attend trade exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry events regionally.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business expansion plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in Food Ingredients, Beverage Ingredients, Flavours, Functional Ingredients, Nutraceutical Ingredients, or related industries.
• Strong exposure to Industrial Sales, OEM or HORECA channels.
• Experience handling regional markets within Southeast Asia is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in business development, key account management, and revenue growth.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel frequently within Southeast Asia.
