Job summary

IKHASAS Group Of Companies in Puchong, Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare monthly management accounts, and coordinate with auditors and tax advisers.

The role requires 4–6 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong knowledge of Malaysian tax and accounting standards. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment, collection and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, sales analysis and other financial information for management review.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, creditor reconciliations and other month-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, credit control and payment collections to support financial planning and business operations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other advisers on accounting and statutory matters.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow projections and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, tax requirements and statutory regulations.

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment, collection and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, sales analysis and other financial information for Management review.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, creditor reconciliations and other month-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, credit control and payment collections to support effective financial planning and business operations.
• Manage invoicing, debit notes, credit notes, official receipts and petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and controls.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, outstanding balances and payment-related matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other professional advisers on accounting, audit, tax and statutory matters.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow projections and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, tax requirements and statutory regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
