Job summary

BDO Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a Senior Executive to manage client accounting portfolios and deliver timely financial reporting and compliance support in line with IFRS, MFRS and firm procedures.

As part of the Business Services & Outsourcing team, you will prepare full sets of accounts, review reporting, and supervise junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting with Second-Class Upper and a professional accounting qualification such as ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MICPA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of accounts, statutory financial statements, and related disclosures for a portfolio of clients in accordance with IFRS, MFRS, and other applicable accounting frameworks.
• Manage and strengthen client relationships by understanding clients’ business needs, addressing queries, and providing timely support.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to provide insights that support business decision-making.
• Oversee XBRL tagging of financial statements in compliance with MBRS 2.0.
• Oversee portfolio deliverables and engagement timelines, ensuring timely completion and alignment with client expectations.
• Coach and supervise junior members of the team.
• Ensure all client engagements are delivered in accordance with the firm’s risk management, quality control, and internal compliance requirements.
