Job summary

B Braun in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead a team of technicians responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on highly automated assembly equipment, ensuring maximum uptime.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, vision systems and pneumatics, develop maintenance programs, manage spare parts, and drive continuous improvement with 8D root cause analysis and formal reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting highly automated assembly equipment.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and vision systems.
• Experience with 8D problem-solving and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of technicians for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Own equipment performance, reliability, and uptime for highly automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation issues.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and manage spare parts.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical training and support for equipment upgrades and migrations.
• Support on-call technical assistance as needed.
