Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced engineer for the MOCVD thin film epitaxy process in Penang. You will own the process, define DoE within the process window, and work with production, process integration and other teams to meet KPIs.

The role emphasizes equipment troubleshooting, in-situ measurements, yield monitoring, and continuous improvement to ensure quality, cost targets, and process stability.

Qualifications

• Experience with MOCVD epitaxy processes and achieving KPIs (yield, CpK, costs).
• Define DoE within process windows and implement process control across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the MOCVD epitaxy growth process and ensure operability and KPI attainment.
• Coordinate with production, process integration, and other teams for smooth operation and KPI achievement.
• Troubleshoot epitaxy tools (software/hardware) with in-situ measurements to optimize growth.
• Set up procedures, qualify new processes/equipment, and maintain process documentation per ISO/TS standards.
• Perform material characterization (XRD, SIMS, PL, etc.) and drive yield improvement through data analysis.
