Job summary

Suntar International Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to completion in Malaysia. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget control, and compliance with quality and contractual requirements as Suntar's on-site representative.

The role involves coordinating with government authorities (SPAN, DOE, CIDB, local authorities), clients, consultants, and contractors, and overseeing project planning, progress reporting, and risk mitigation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in construction with at least 3 years as a Project Manager.
• Experience coordinating with government authorities and clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, mobilisation, and development of schedules, budgets, manpower, and procurement plans.
• Develop work programmes and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Act as Suntar's primary representative on project sites.
• Coordinate with government authorities (SPAN, DOE, CIDB, local authorities) and stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication and approvals with regulatory bodies.
• Lead site meetings, progress meetings, and client updates.
• Review engineering drawings, submissions, method statements, and progress reports.
• Ensure activities comply with designs, specs, regulations, and policies.
• Manage project cost control, procurement, variations, claims.
• Monitor progress and mitigate risks.
