Senior EOR/IOR Operations Specialist

Our Integrated Well Services team works onsite with our customers to support the on‑site installation, maintenance and planning of our industry‑leading products.
Responsibilities
- Leading the screening and selection of fit‑for‑purpose recovery improvement concepts for mature fields, covering waterflood optimisation, gas injection, chemical EOR, thermal methods, conformance control and hybrid approaches.
- Assessing reservoir suitability, injectant availability, facilities requirements, well deliverability, surveillance design, operational readiness, commercial value and execution risks as one integrated system.
- Bringing first‑hand experience from EOR/IOR projects that moved beyond studies into design maturation, implementation, start‑up surveillance and performance monitoring, including lessons learned from what did and did not work in the field.
- Understanding the technologies, chemicals, equipment, surveillance tools, injection systems and operational services needed to deliver an EOR/IOR concept. Engaging the right product or technical authority during design when needed.
- Quantifying incremental recovery, production impact, uncertainty ranges, implementation risks and value drivers for screening, ranking and investment decision support.
- Translating EOR/IOR opportunities into differentiated technical and commercial propositions, including assumptions, execution pathways, partnership needs and risk mitigation plans.
- Challenging recovery assumptions, benchmark analogs, guiding junior specialists and ensuring EOR/IOR inputs are technically robust and decision‑ready.
Qualifications
- Have BSc/MSc in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 15+ years experience in reservoir engineering and EOR/IOR design, screening, piloting, implementation or field optimisation.
- Strong understanding of recovery mechanisms, injection systems, facilities interfaces, surveillance strategies and commercial value drivers.
- Ability to defend recovery concepts and investment cases with senior technical, commercial and leadership stakeholders.
