Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd in Sepang is seeking a Senior Engineer - Engineering (Plant & Process) to oversee plant machinery reliability through troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs while guiding the Engineering team to operate efficiently.

The role enforces ISO 9001 and GMP compliance, leads preventive maintenance, improvements, and budget reporting, and collaborates with internal stakeholders and contractors to sustain safe, productive, and compliant manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in engineering/maintenance, or fresh graduate in a relevant discipline.
• Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
• ISO-related filing, documentation, and good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company rules, policies, and compliance with ISO 9001/GMP requirements while standardizing procedures across operations.
• Lead and guide the Engineering team in breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, annual maintenance execution, and improvement projects to minimize downtime and improve OEE.
• Troubleshoot machinery, determine necessary repairs or modifications, and oversee proper segregation and disposal of damaged items.
• Monitor and maintain the condition of tools, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Prepare and review budgets, control expenditures, and generate required reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and maintenance-related).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with ISO, including checklists, commissioning, and service reports.
• Lead, coach, and train subordinates to build competency, motivation, discipline, teamwork, and alignment with management’s direction.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, government officers, and other departments/plants for audits, projects, modifications, and cross-departmental activities.
• Rectify complaints from internal and external customers and provide timely updates to superiors on outstanding issues.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, health and safety standards (including LOTO), and standardization of processes to enhance productivity and reliability.

Education
